Professor Carrock Sewell is a Consultant Immunologist who specialises in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the immune system whether the immune system is underactive (causing immunodeficiency) or over-active or misguided (causing allergy or autoimmunity). He runs both a clinical service and a busy immunology laboratory. His research looks into the use of the drug immunoglobulin which is used in many immunological disorders, and he is establishing an international centre for the study of this drug at Lincoln University. He has lectured widely around the world on many aspects of immunology, particularly on the diagnosis and management of immunodeficiency disorders, and has publised widely on many aspects of immunological and allergic diseases.
