Dr Sunil Upadhyay is a consultant Clinical Oncologist and Clinical Directory for Oncology Division, primarily based at Queen's Centre for Oncology and Haematology at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull. His main areas of interest are the management of breast and lung cancers including malignant mesothelioma with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy and molecular agents. He graduated from India and was trained in Oncology initially at Delhi University followed by Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow. After further training at Royal Berks Hospital in Reading, he joined the oncology department in Hull in 1992. He is a clinical tutor for undergraduate medical students from Hull and York Medical School and post graduates trainees in oncology. He has keen interest in research and trials and has been principle/co.investigator for many trials over the last 25 years. He has been speaker at many oncological meetings/conferences and has over 50 publications on cancer management. He is member of many national and international cancer organisations. He has also been on expert advisory boards for many pharmaceutical companies.
