Statement

Born in Swansea I studied Medicine at the University of Wales College of Medicine.

I trained in General Surgery in South Wales before completing a two year research fellowship in wound healing and scar formation. I also  trained in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery in Swansea, Birmingham, Manchester and Sydney, Australia.

I returned to Wales as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Welsh Centre for Plastic Surgery in 2003 and was appointed Hunterion Professor by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002.

I am a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and am currently Programme Director for Plastic Surgery training in Wales.
