Career Profile

Mr Khot trained in Bombay, India. Qualifying in 1989, he started postgraduate surgical training followed by three years as Lecturer in Surgery, University of Bombay.
In the UK, he continued higher surgical training in London and Wales. He was awarded the Intercollegiate Fellowship in 2005. In 2006 he was awarded a  Fellowship in Laparoscopic(Key-hole) Colorectal Surgery.
Mr Khot is a Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon at Singleton Hospital, Swansea. He is a UK National Trainer/Preceptor for laparoscopic intestinal surgery and represents Wales on the Council of the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ALSGBI).
He established laparoscopic colorectal services and Rapid Recovery Programme for Swansea.

Specialist Interests

Mr Khot practices all aspects of general surgery and has a special interest in surgery for intestinal disorders, both cancer and non-cancer. He is also an accredited colonoscopist. He has published many scientific papers and is a reviewer for the British Journal of Surgery and has a keen interest in clinical research.
